Not Another Ordinary Face Mask
The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 has sickened more than 16.5 million people across six continents. It is raging in countries that never contained the virus. It is resurging in many of the ones that did. If there was ever a time when this coronavirus could be contained, it has probably passed. One outcome is now looking almost certain: This virus is never going away.
It is now concluded by almost all health experts and officials that the most simple and effective way to prevent the infection from the virus is to exercising social distancing and wearing a face mask. From the initial global shortage to now masks are stocked everywhere, you can see there are so many different types of masks nowaday, and there is a big price range that may make you wonder: What are the differences among those? Why are some so expensive and some are so cheap?
Not all face masks are made equal! Especially for the washable reusable ones.
They should not be used, says the CDC, “where a sterile field must be maintained (e.g., during an invasive procedure in an operating or procedure room) because the exhalation valve allows unfiltered exhaled air to escape into the sterile field.”
Valved masks are advertised frequently online and often look both functional and fashionable. The buyer, meanwhile, probably doesn’t know they defeat the intended purpose — to protect other people.
With the MX9501 Reusable and Washable face mask, you get the true protection, for you and other people around you, all day long.
The coronavirus is about 0.12 microns in diameter and MX9501 protects down to 0.1 microns, with 95% efficiency, which is where it gets its name - MX9501, an equivalent to N95 and KN95. If a mask can only filtrate particles of 1μm, it means no filtration capability against the virus we are fighting against. The regular cotton or poly cotton mask can’t filtrate COVID-19 size virus and can’t provide sufficient protection, most of them on the market today don't have the filtration at all.
MX9501 also provides durable droplet repellent and antibacterial function for the outer fabric and antibacterial for the inner fabric.
Mask is something over the face. It has to be comfortable to wear for prolonged time and nevertheless, it must be good looking! It's not ideal to wear masks if we have a better choice, it's uncomfortable, some people think it is ugly. We got that.
Unlike many poor looking and uncomfortable masks, MX9501 is designed and produced with 3D cutting technology to fit the face well not only to give a sense of aesthetic and fashion but also better protection.
If you ever noticed, those celebrities and government officials wear the same style masks when they appear in public, most if not all times.
Comfortable and Breathable:
The antibacterial, soft and easy dry fabric provides clean, fresh and gentle wearing experience for all day long.
MX9501 is designed to comply with regulatory standards. A lot of testing was done before it hit the marketplace, which involved breathability in addition to the filtration efficiency, including the inhalation resistance, exhalation resistance etc. Those are tested by international accredited 3rd party labs:
MX9501 is a solid mask made of woven fabric and ePTFE filtration core which can be washed in the commercial laundry with high temperature washing, intense chemical processing and high temperature drying which will completely disinfect the masks in a highly efficient way.
Unlike some masks requires replacement of the inserted meltblown part every 4 hours because of the electrostatic limitation of melt blown filtration, MX9501 filtrates virus with physical aperture of the ePTFE material which will not degrade with the using time and no need to change any parts. This will save the time of changing parts, reduce the risk of extended use of the melt blown core and save a lot of wastes that can’t be recycled and even dangerous.
* ePTFE Technology:
Expanded PTFE Membranes
What Is ePTFE?
ePTFE stands for expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membranes. ePTFE is a tensile, dynamic material that’s extremely durable. It has a 100% fluoropolymer coating that’s chemical- and fire-resistant as well as water- and UV-resistant and low-maintenance. ePTFE is great at dispersing daylight, which is why you’ll often find it in a number of commercial applications that require light to penetrate the membrane.
ePTFE is also extremely flexible, meaning you can insert it into a variety of applications without worrying about cracking or creasing the material.
ePTFE Membrane vs. High-Density PTFE Membranes
If you’re only somewhat familiar with polytetrafluoroethylene membranes, this talk of ePTFE may be a bit confusing. What other kinds of PTFE membranes are there, and is there a difference? In fact, there are two kinds of PTFEs — expanded PTFE, or ePTFE, and high-density PTFE, also called HD-PTFE or dPTFE.
What’s the difference between the two? It comes down to porosity. ePTFE has many small pores on the membrane due to the way it’s manufactured, which involves stretching on the microscopic level. dPTFE is manufactured to prevent expansion, with very few and very small pores. The type of PTFE membrane that will be better for you will depend on what kind of materials you’re trying to filter or separate with your membranes.

- The ideal face mask for coronavirus protection blocks large droplets along with smaller airborne particles.
- In general, masks should have more than one layer and be made of tightly woven fabrics.
- Based on several studies evaluating masks' protection levels, we've ranked the most common types from best (an N95 mask) to worst (masks with a built-in valve or vent).
